Cat & Mouse By James Patterson pages 190-235

At the start of this section it focuses on Gary Soneji. Gary first heads to New York's Bellevue Hospital because he has heard that the NYPD is holding Shareef Thomas there, and Gary wants revenge on Shareef. Gary then disguised himself as if he worked at the hospital, also he had a photo I.D. of a Francis Michael Nicolo, R.N.. When Gary was making his way to Shareef's room, Detective Groza and Cross were waiting inside of Shareef's room. As Gary entered the room, he was startled at first, but he had on a bulletproof vest and he had firebombs. Gary threw one of these bombs at Groza and Cross, and they burst into flames from the bombs. Even though the flames burst all over them Cross and Groza managed to escape the burning room. Then Detective Groza and Cross chased Gary out of the hospital and onto the busy New York streets. When they exited the hospital it was raining very hard. As they were chasing Gary, Gary boarded a bus full of people carrying an unknown amount of bombs. Gary then took a baby hostage from the bus and then ran for Grand Central Station. Gary was chased by the two detectives down through the deepest part of Grand Central Station. When they caught Gary at the lowest point of the Grand Central Station, Gary threw the baby into the air, and luckily someone caught the baby. Gary then continued through some of the train tunnels. When the two detectives went into the tunnels it was extremely dark and they moved slowly. Then Alex heard a scream from behind him, and Groza was struck by one of Gary's fists, and then Gary punched Alex hard in the left temple. Alex and Gary were then engaged in a long fracas, and Alex could feel Gary's jawbone and his left cheek bone break as he punched them. Then Alex shot Gary with his Glock right in his jaw, and he fell to the ground and landed on one of his bombs and burst into flames.

After that long brawl with Gary, Alex went back to his house in D.C.. At his house there was a surprise party for stopping Gary Soneji. At the party there were many of Alex's friends, family and other police officers from the D.C. area. After this party Alex went to sleep in his house. After he had been asleep for a long period of time, he awoke to a pounding noise somewhere in his house. Before Alex knew what was happening he saw this dark figure rise beside his bed, and the figure began to strike Alex with a large club of some sort. The figure struck Alex in the should and in the lower back, and then Alex recognized the face it was Gary Soneji.

I enjoyed this part of the book because it had some action and some suspense in it. I liked how the detectives knew that Gary would go into the hospital and try and kill Shareef. Also i liked the description of the book when Gary and Alex were fighting in the train tunnels inside of Grand Central Station. Also I liked how everyone thought that Gary was dead so they all took down their guard, but at the end Gary attacked everyone in the Cross house. I thought that this section of the book was the best so far.
